Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB), which rose 5.41% or 1.23 points to trade at 23.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Gruma SAB de CV (BMV:GRUMAB) added 3.51% or 11.74 points to end at 346.00 and Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:CEMEXCPO) was up 3.24% or 0.37 points to 11.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALFAA), which fell 4.75% or 0.76 points to trade at 15.25 at the close. Regional SAB de CV (BMV:RA) declined 3.39% or 4.38 points to end at 125.01 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO) was down 3.36% or 1.54 points to 44.33.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 112 to 110 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:LABB) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.41% or 1.23 to 23.95.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.95% or 25.30 to $2,640.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.21% or 3.25 to hit $73.89 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $77.47 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 19.35, while EUR/MXN fell 0.07% to 21.25.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 102.21.
